Never really understood why you think this one's twee Doof - if anything I'd say Takk... is much more twee than this.
For me this is their album that lacks any dull moments and thus manages to fully justify its run time and hence is my favorite.

'Olsen Olsen' is the peak of Sigur Ros twee, Staralfur is just behind it but that's still an immense song - it's the melodies, this is the album that conjures the most cliche Sigur Ros images of elves frollicking about in snow dappled woodlands for me and I really have to be in the mood
Stuff like Gong or Saeglopur seems more meaty and I guess more conventional
I still have this 4'd but it's an album I respect more than love playing over and over

Fair enough, Olsen Olsen is one of my favorite Sigur tunes (love that bass) and Staralfur is definitely immense.
Takk... would be their "respect more than love" album for me, that one's much airier to my ears.
