For me AOJB att was the biggest breath of fresh air in metal. Landmark record

"Solar Plexus EP is their masterwork though; I’m still dirty they never completed that EP series and I would honestly trade everything Jesse has done after Disarm the Descent to hear those two shelved TESF EPs. Narrow the Path I Walk pt 2 is insane."

Same here. The worst part about it is that the band have never come out and said they're done. There was no official press about it. They hyped up that series, and it was sad to see them never get them all out.

The story is apparently Jesse just gave up on writing vocals because the songs were “beyond his abilities” but I’m not sure whether that’s true or some sort of euphemism

This is my favorite "Killswitch Engage" album. But my ranking is hot take-ish I guess. Goes something like:

1) Hymn of A Broken Man

2) Daylight Dies

3) End of Heartache

4) Alive or Just Breathing

5) Disarm the Descent

6) Songs of Loss and Separation

7) Killswitch Engage

8) Atonement

9) Incarnate

Strength in Numbers is my least favorite on this hahaha. I literally never listen to it. But yeah Jesse was at his best here.

One of the best tracks in here actually. Love it

SIN suffers from having a janky structure, corny spoken word part and slightly muddier mix than some of the other tracks here. It’s probably one of my least favourite.

Anyway I’m still holding out for a fully twang focused record from these fellas. Forgotten One and acoustic Willing are my most returned to here.
