No, my point is; I'm giving this album a 5 because IMO it's just as good as Define The Great Line (which I loved as well and is one of my all time favourite albums, and I rated it a 5) and according to my rating standards, it's accurate.

Giving this a 1 without listening to it because you 'genuinely dislike this band' is plain stupid.

Like I mentioned earlier, I've heard some damn great records this year and yet to give one a 5, there's a few I'm thinking about but time is the only thing that's going to let me know if it sticks or not. Saying something's perfect after a first listen is laughable unless it like absolutely changes your life which I don't think this did for many people.

Well, throughout 3-4 listens I gave it a 4 (although Sputnik erased all the previous ratings), and I've listened to this a bunch of times, maybe I'll lower it to a 4.5, but as far as it goes, I'm still in love with this.

Happened the same when I listened to Diamond Eyes (which is definitely AOTY for me) and I never felt the necessity to lower the score, I like it as much as White Pony, and I have both of them rated at 5.

Great review, bro.

In the second last paragraph, I believe you misspelled "synth" by leaving out the "n", in case you cared to correct it.

Album rules hard.
