When I was chasing up a good song (Themata) that Spotify threw up for me in a random playlist by a band I'd never heard of...I didn't expect to see 6 reviews & over a thousand ratings with a 4 avg for the album it was from.
It's pretty fucking good though.

i did
my reception is still lukewarm regardless of the order, because for every track that "gets it", there's another that embodies the tropes of 2000s alt rock i /don't/ vibe with
2.8 would be more fair than 2.5, but they really are much better following tool's footsteps than trapt's

My only problem with this album is that COTE is head-and-shoulders better than everything else on display here. Other than that, was a highly enjoyable surprise when I bought it at HMV all those years ago. But COTE is so good, that I have to elevate this album into 3-4 range, strictly because of that one song.

yeah this album is fantastic but does kinda live in a first track shadow where there's only a few heights that -almost- approach C.O.T.E
I do really dig Mauseum and Roquefort tho
