This is merely solid. Below the Lights will probably always be their finest prog rock black metal album. The clean vocalist here is just really boring. That alone kills those sections of the album. The production is a tad clean for me as well but it benefits from it in parts. Some songs tend to drag... yada yada. I'm thinking 3.5 because the vocals are well above average and the guitar work is pretty good overall.

Yeah I really enjoy the cleans, i'm not really following what people have against them. They fit the music wonderfully and offer enough vocal variety so every song is interesting and indentifiable.
