There was about a 6 month period where I was adamant that Curbside Goodbye was the best song of '09
I still think it's top 5, what a killer fucking track. if not for that I'd probably have this as a 3.5

I'm 90% sure I'd be as hostile towards those bands if I heard them. And admittedly, some of that excess hostility you speak of (having nothing to do with music) comes from the way people deride the likes of the bands you mentioned but praise this band as "post-hardcore's finest ever!"
