in order to be write a dominant death metal album, your band has to sound LARGE and IN CHARGE. thats what ive always preferred about Incantation over conventional picks like Death or Morbid Angel. im not knocking either of those bands, im just saying that in general I prefer the gargantuan and other-worldly sound of Incantation

Basically what I think yeah, that's why I tend to prefer bands with doomy edges over "Normal" death metal bands. Some of the old tech dm bands (Demilich, Gorguts, etc) I usually prefer to anything else too
