Atrocious album. My opinion has not changed since it was released in 2009.
After listening to the entire Slayer catalog this past week, it's pathetic how far they have fallen since 1990's Seasons in The Abyss. Anyone who says 'this is their best since Seasons!' must have brain damage.
Uninspired songwriting, garbage solos, horrible guitar tone, and pathetically bad lyrics. Tom's monotone vocals don't help, seeing how he has sounded awful since 1998. Lombardo is here, that's nice, but he does nothing impressive. There is nothing memorable to be found on this album.
Slayer is no different than any of the old school thrash bands. They all churn out crap and milk their clueless fans.
Jeff is dead and so is Slayer. The Kerry King band will crash and burn.

If this was released in 1992 you fuckers would all be hailing it as the last classic Slayer album.
