I won't listen to this band. I listened to a few songs by As I Lay Dying and they felt extremely boring. This is, I presume, worse.

This isn't the album to start with if you were interesting in any case, for that I'd recommend Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses but nothing by them is mind-blowing; as for me I enjoy them more than As I Lay Dying.

Literally every Atreyu release is close in rating to each other even though it is unquestionable the quality of Atreyu albums jumped up and down a lot by a wide range for their whole career. And yet somehow half the albums are rated way too high and some are shit on unfairly.
Visions, Fractures, and Suicide Notes are all literal shit in my opinion and they all have a higher rating than Lead Sails Paper Anchors. While some will argue against me, but LSPA was Atreyu trying to not create the same album once again and it got completely shit on so much that the band went and intentionally made this album, Congregation, to be like their older popular stuff, except it couldn't compare at all to Curse, or a Death Grip, or even Lead Sails. This is more of a 1.5 or a 2 than a 2.5 but fuck it I do like some songs.
As for Curse, and Death Grip. I once didn't like Curse but it grew on me after years because I would still listen to it for only three songs and somewhere along the way I realized it's actually a cohesive album with different intentions spread everywhere. And Death Grip didn't get a fair shake even though it is considered their best because everyone was looking at is as though "Atreyu isn't complete shit now" instead of appreciating the album for being a culmination and a perfection of their style and they all labeled it as good before it was even released or leaked. I admit I hate their first few albums but it was still all a natural evolution that I paid attention to. And on top of all that I know many users on here rated every mainstream Atreyu album as low as possible with not even one listen because it was cool to do.
