it's similar to a lot of the things you described; you just stated something that was wrong, but never really went for the WHY



i mean i get that the review wasn't supposed to be in depth, it was supposed to be broad and generalizing, but i think you missed a good opportunity to expound on some of the more infuriating aspects of the mediocre metalcore of today



i mean, instead of just saying "play all riffs on frets 1 and 0", you could have said something more like "it may be tantalizing to try to play riffs on frets besides 0 and 1, but if you do, you won't sound exactly the same as every other metalcore band out there"
