Would you mean Spencer Chamberlain? Since I doubt Aaron has a limb hand when he is drumming.. that would be awkward.

lol yeah Stan, but I think it's the other way around, actually. Aaron is the one that seems influenced by Adam's swinging skills.
Dougie, he's talking about Aaron's side project, The Almost.

I'm thinking about doing my first review here about New Again.
I've been listening to this so much that it wouldn't make sense if I did with any other album.
That's what I'll be writing on the weekend.

yeah straylight you're right, Aaron is definitely influenced by Adam. i remembered seeing The Almost on Jimmy Kimmel a couple years ago though, so that's what Adam's performance reminded me of.

So I've just come back from a date and made this major post at a brand new - tdgarim review and
wanna know what you folks think about too:
Today is Valentine's day here where I live and I was in a date with my ex-girlfriend (I mean, prior
my actual ex lol) and we were talking about the whole brand new and taking back sunday thing and we
realized some things. Isn't funny how The Devil and God is about basically Jesse being dumped by a
Dupree while New Again is basically about Adam dumping a Dupree?
I don't know, maybe it's just me, and I know that I will provoke some hate here but, I find myself
enjoying more New Again than Devil and God. I don't know, I understand that emotional pain makes
great artists achieve amazing music, but I just find myself more affected by the things Adam wrote
in New Again. Don't get me wrong, BOTH albums are classics to me. I just can't compare them. And
that's not the thing I'm doing here. What I'm trying analyze here, and I think that's even something
for a larger discussion, it's the fact how you can enjoy one album better than another through the
experiences you had. I mean, the both songwriters suffered. Dumping someone after living together
with her can be a very traumatic experience and I don't wish this to anyone. But I think that the
man I am today can identify himself better with Adam's lyrics than Jesse's. I can't help after
listening this album to feel depressed for the guy or even for some other things I went through. And
when I listen New Again, I really can identify myself with. The whole aspect of being new again, the
guilt for the betrayal, the sadness for having to crush somebody's heart you still love, but not how
you loved before and all of this with a such bittersweet upbeat vibe.
I'm even thinking about opening a thread about it, but I just don't think I'm sober enough to do it,
lol. So sirs, any thoughts? I'm crashing on my bed now, but I'll certainly come back tomorrow to
check in your thoughts.
PS: New Again = good, dirty, wild, wild, wild sex. Try it.

I didnt say that one of the two is BETTER than another. I just said that I find myself enjoying New Again more than TDGARIM. I identify myself better with Adam's songwriting than Jesse. Oh man I'm wasted, I knew people would start writing without thinking but I really need to sleep.

And what's not right with me, could you explain? I have a life, usually I don't get depressed by girls
and a whole album talking about having your ass dumped bores me out of my skull right now. What's
wrong about identifying myself better with a songwriting style than another? Why every people in this
scene has to be miserable? I see that you and Dougie post a lot here. Atavan and Dougie instead of
providing me any argument or discussing about what I've said, resorted to name calling.
I just think that there's some sort of people will identify themselves easily with Adam, and others
with Jesse. No big deal, this isn't a fucking contest.

you rated this without listening? wow that's so mature.
What's REALLY pissing me off is that I took my time after getting home almost 6 am to post something
I think it's really worth it. Then I go to sleep, when I wake up there're two virgins name calling
me out of the blue. No arguing, and since this tactic seems to work here, now I'm discussing the
name calling instead of what I really wanted to talk about. Fuck yeah.
