All their riffs, solos, lyrics, influence, etc...literally in every way they are superior except for atmosphere imo, still love early Burzum but it's unfair to compare most bands to Death

demigod I'm on your side about Death, but I gotta say I'm not a fan of the "if this band didn't exist yours wouldn't" argument because then that means you have to like every band that influenced Death and every band that influenced those bands etc by that logic

Aha, I agree demigod- it's kind of hard to explain, but everything you said was pretty spot on. They don't have a bad album, pretty much all of their riffs and solos are insanely creative, their drumming is always awesome, their progression from gore lyrics to philosophical lyrics rules, advancing their sound constantly and getting better instead of unfocused like most bands, their production is almost always incredible, Chuck's classic vocals...literally everything about them lol- Burzum is great, but they definitely don't compare imo
