Not in the long run no, but in comparison to Vertebrae I can tell the new one has a little more surprises in it.

On many levels, "Vertebrae" is a true masterpiece of metal music.

It is so original, they are very creative in a subtle way

IMHO,we can say that a few pieces of this album are musical art.

That's the way i feel about this album, by my beloved band "Enslaved"

(sorry for this bad english writing)

I love the music on Vertebrae, but hate the production of the vocals, not the vocals themselves. There's a really odd dryness to the voice that I can't bare to listen to for any length of time.

Their new effort, Axioma Ethica Odini fixes that problem. The production ruins Vertebrae for me. I still listen to it from time to time because the musicianship is superb.

Ground solo is amazing. This album isnt quite as good as AEO

This is just a little better than Axioma. At least at the moment, but they're more or less equal. None of the songs of the new one come close to Reflection though. Well maybe Lightening.

hated it at first listen, and whaddaya know? Now I love this album so much! Reflection is probably the best Enslaved song ever. The only songs that are able to compare is probably Essence or The Crossing

This album is a masterpiece. The best thing they ever did and one of the best albums ever. This deserves every bit of the five it gets.

Am I the only person who still thinks Isa is their best album?

I just seriously love this band. I love this, and it doesn't even crack my top 4 Enslaved albums, which should show you just how much I love this band.
