"making music like this must be so draining"

For sure. Must be a relief to come out of the studio after tormenting yourself for so long

edit: and how is the screamer/ singer's voice still so good, I don't know

I feel like they've got to be listening to some happy sappy shit in their spare time to make it through recording one of their records

Checked now. Singers voice is unbelievable.

And that sample with the rambling man does come off as super right-wing-esque which is 100 % different from what I interpret from one of these dudes private facebook. Wonder how that fits in the bigger picture of the whole album.

Eugenics aren't a far right theme, per se. It was a widely studied field until the nazis incorporated it and showed the horror it could do in the wrong hands.

To be sure, we're doing eugenics again in the modern world. Think of the 'designer babies'. I think it's sickening and should not be allowed, but it can be done.

its the possibility of selecting certain genes/alleles (or whatever the term is) to get your child to look how you want e.g. selecting blue eyes when your child would naturally have brown.

I think it even fits a little more than on Blazing Fires. It seems to flow more seamlessly within the song. But that could just be my enthusiasm speaking

Agreed. It's hard to restrain myself, I don't want to play it too much before hearing it with the new album

srsly don't know how to rate this

The music is clearly better than 3.0, but then there is too much fucking spoken word and gets annoying and tiresome, album is way too long anyway. Oh and "A Japanese Flag" has terrible intro. Still tho might bump my rating after few more listens.

also rip that 4.0 avg

the spoken word didn't sit with me that well on first listen, but you get used to it and, with the help of a translation, its quite captivating
