this is an amazing album, but like other people said, the 2nd half of the album holds together much better than the first half.
that said, Blut im Auge is pretty kick ass, Die Weide und der Fluß is also brilliance

Not to mention all of the completely original and epic melodies. If there's one thing that plagues the folk metal genre the most it's tired, overuse, cliched melodies. And I love how you can really hear the passion and emotion in the vocalist.

Been listening to this alot lately. It IS perhaps a little over long, and I wish there were even more folk elements, since they're the best bits. Blut im Auge and the middle 6 mins of Mana are the highlights by a long shot. I have a habit of sticking Blut im Auge on loop.
