I don't... I appreciate the filler songs a little bit more now, but it's not enough yet

Wheels, Supernaut, Snowblind and Under the Sun are some of Sabbath's best though

And nah I think SBS is really consistent, easily prefer it to this and Sabotage, and its not far off

the s/t

I think I'm the only one that loves Who Are You and National Acrobat has one of Sabbath best riffs imo

Fluff is a beautiful instrumental, Sabbath is not only riffs

The riff after Ozzy yells "ha ha" goes hard

We're really just splitting hairs though, since all the first 6 have fairly solid songwriting.

It just comes down to the nitpicks.

I think they pulled off the experimentation perfectly on it. Such a diverse record too

Agreed with facupm, more with his 2nd post than his first one.

I'm not sure which of the first 6 I like least, I need to jam SBS and Sab more, maybe that'll give
me the key.

Other guitarrists may have done modifications to Iommi's riffs, but no one really surpassed him, to
say that would be blasphemous.

His vibrato at the end of his signature riffs is something that I don't hear on any guitarist.

Kim Thayil does come a bit close though, but no cigar.

Yeah Kim rules. His riffing on SG's first two albums are as close to Iommi as you can get

He's my fave rhythm guitarist on grunge for sure, so I think we have common ground there Nero.
