Now that I'm into jazz I love listening to what these guys sampled. I've always loved that piano loop in 'The World Is Yours' so much, which they lifted from an Ahmad Jamal album from the 70s.



De La Soul sampled him too for Stakes Is High. Both samples are just tiny fragments on 7 or 10 minute songs, and aren't really repeated the same way twice in those original songs so in my opinion it's pretty clever to identify that as being worth building a song around.
