I don't blame you - French is a difficult langage to learn when it's not native. I personally have many friends (French of course, or "Quebecois") who still have quite some difficulties with grammar and spelling. On the other hand I never really had problems learning English.
I don't agree with that. I think french grammar is a lot easier than english. That might be because I never learnt any english grammar though.

I thought french grammar was pretty straight-forward though. There are rules for everything and the exceptions to the rules are usually the same and follow basic patterns.

I really agree with this. (in the sense that's it's difficult to practice I mean!) I don't have
trouble reading or writing or listening to English but if you guys heard me speak English, you would
laugh your asses off :P I don't have any trouble having thoughts in English but putting the
words out of my mouth... such a different thing.
@tree: That's interesting. I can't say much about learning French grammar as a second language,
though, because I've always spoken it so it was always easy to me.

nah, it's just that you can't know how a word is supposed to be pronounced when you read it. I mean, just take "read", it depends on the tense although it's written the same way.
