Too bad, I always wanted Khan to do a Phantom of Opera cover

So damn good still

I get so jealous that I cannot sing like khan, I really don't care for freddy mercury and Bruce Dickinson that much
|
| |
Yeah his voice is incredible. He def deserves more credit

Mesmerizing.

The bass drum sound on this is super massive. It's basically the unsung hero of This Pain in particular

Amazing album and band back in their hay day. RIP Roy Khan (symbolically of course).

They are still good, but this and Epica combined are like the best thing ever conceived, it's impossible to match, even if they still had Khan

I like Tommy and think he does as good of a job as anyone could expect him to; but it just isn't Kamelot without Roy. That voice was unmistakable. I watch vids from One Cold Winter Night on youtube on occasion, and just wow. 10/10

Yeah, One Cold Winter's Night is amazing, it's them at the best point of their careers. Khan or Youngblood (I think it was Youngblood, actually) once said that he sees Epica, The Black Halo and One Cold Winter's Night as a trilogy of sorts, so two albums and then a live dvd to round it off and show them working together on stage at that certain point of the band's history ... I like that way to put it

Yeah dude, makes sense. When I think of Kamelot, I will always think of songs from the Karma-Epica-Black Halo era.

Yep, those are the best ones. Ghost Opera would be my fourth place - such a colorful album

Stop underrating The Fourth Legacy, such a marvelous record too.

It is a very good album, but it's still bound by the genre's common tropes, which is what keeps it down for me. It has some gems though for sure
|

Can't unsee "came a lot" as the band name though sadly

like Bruce Dickinson he has a very masculine tenor voice (AKA sweetspot), his tone is also very rich.
now compare them to other full tenors like MJ and Bruno mars
|
| |
Amazing album yeah. Other Kamelot albums, while good in their own right, don't nearly do as much for me as this one
|
| |
This would be so, so much better with one tenth the vibrato.
|
| |
Or better yet zero vibrato at all.
