On it. Rules. Maybe I shouldn't have started with Treasure back then? How does it compare to this?

Hmm this has more highlights than Treasure so wins by a hair for me, but Treasure has their best song (Lorelei) and is arguably more consistent so you can't lose tbh

i also started with Treasure, which takes a while to get into. def not one of the better choices. it also took me a while to finally check this after Treasure

this is much more accessible, and ultimately better :D

Omg it's super goood. Teenage Trif was a weirdo.

Love that feeling when one of the classics clicks and you just now you're in for a ride. Yesss.

I'll check that one too. Revisiting Treasure first.

I think we argued about this earlier but "Blue Bell Knoll > Heaven or Las Vegas" is a patently insane opinion

Yeah. I can see someone preferring Treasure over this, but struggling to see that one personally.

Treasure is my 3rd favorite. Haven’t heard it in a while, but I remember it solidly being behind the top 2

Blue Bell Knoll is amazing, not as amazing as this but let's not pretend the gulf is that wide

An English Channel between them, not an Atlantic Ocean

That 2014 remaster artwork sucks.

Ok so here's what you do:

1. Put the remastered disc in the original album case
2. Put the original disc in the remastered album case
3. Throw item #2 in the trash

I honestly do happen to think that this is a HUGE step up from BBK personally. That's like a 3.5 at best with a few bum songs and this is just complete fire. Huge fan of "athol-brose" from BBK though for whatever reason, think that's an underrated song and could go toe to toe with most songs here. Even "carolyn's fingers," the second best song on BBK, is a tiny bit staid, don't love that the chorus is just sort of a modulation of a smaller section of the verse

This would have been a huge step after any CT album. BBK doesn't have as much personality as Treasure or Victorialand though and I agree that it's 3.5 material.
