Winter, Das Tor, and this are pretty even for me. This has the lightest production, audible vocals, and the beautiful violin and flute parts. Winterkalte is a behemoth with the most immersive atmosphere and best riffs, but overextends itself sometimes (see: Ich Starre and Einsamkeit). Das Tor loses steam in the middle but Offenbarung and Schleussel are perfect.

Einsamkeit is kinda relaxing and the ritualistic chants adds mysticism surrounding the record its awesome

I've heard all the paysage ambient albums, einsamkeit is one of the best toghether with die festung but honestly I'd rather listen to some "cold" dark ambient like sleep research facility...

yeah i remember reading in an interview that even wintherr isnt fond of some of the early stuff. he said that he expected steineiche to be really well recieved but it just flopped lol
