Yeah Octavarium is the only song on that record that's awesome. In the Name of God's sweet, too.

The only song that keeps Systematic Chaos at a 2.5 for me is In the Presence of Enemies pt 1. It's wanky as fuck but I still enjoy it. Same can't be said for the rest of that record, though.

Systematic Chaos is really inconsistent. ITPOE and Ministry of Lost Souls are awesome but Constant Motion and especially Forsaken are awful songs

i never got the love for BCSL. portnoy's AA saga or whatever turned into literally just taking parts from other songs

@KILL nah it's not, I Walk Beside You may be a cheesy U2 ripoff song but it sounds pretty enjoyable

Shattered Fortress was the first song i heard from the AA and i loved it at first but after hearing the others i was like "what is this shit Portnoy copying his own songs". but the latter half of TCoT is amazing, i really like A Rite of Passage and The Best of Times too

Half of a rite of passage is the main melody played over and over, and the other half is metallica rip off. TCoT would be more interesting if they didn't rip off Metallica (they seriously need to move on to a different band if they're going to copy some band). TBoT is good but the album overall got old fast
