lol obscurity has nothing to do with it. I'll be the first to tell anyone that I love 80s metallica

just personally find this album really stale and boring. opinions.

Fell asleep 1/3 of the way from mars to sirius
This is great

Album has some really good moments but yeah, is too long and too repetitive for its own good (though, as Emyay said, when the mood is right this does deliver). This has some of my absolute favorite songs from Gojira, but I actually think their latest works the best as a collection of songs.

totally agree with the review tho. the album has almost no variation in speed or volume. it won't let itself breathe, there aren't really any moments that help you keep the music in perspective. it saturates itself with it's own sound qualities and just ends up sounding like white noise after a while to me

wow, Where Dragons Dwell, World To Come, From Mars/To Sirius, Ocean Planet, Backbone

all these songs have insanely sick tempo changes in them. Unicorn and From Mars bring the volume down plenty. Flying Whales has that 2 1/2 minute ambient intro. Global Warming stays a steady tempo and reasonably medium volume for the whole song.

mindleviticus: there's this one fill Mario does in that song (in the faster part during the second half) that just blows my mind every time. Absolutely monstrous drummer.

Really unfair review. You quite literally judged a book by it's cover.

years ago two parents went out to dinner a few hours later the babysitter called and asked if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids room. The dad said "get the kids out of the house and we'll call the police. We don't have a... clown statue." the clown was actually a killer that escaped from prison 10 years ago. If u don't post this on ten photos, the clown will be in your bed with a chainsaw in his hand at 3:00 am
