It's gonna be a banger

Every band was good but personally felt as if thrice made the other three look like babies. One of the best shows I’ve been to

heck ! aren't they all meant to be ill or some shit?

I have no idea but it was just one of those classic “this sounds like the album but HUGE and AWESOME and everyone’s going nuts” situations

lmao dope. am glad to have this insight from you bc the only window into the tour I've had has been a fangroup on fb periodically losing its shit out of concern over either the band's health or how many b-sides they'll play - glad this was a poor indication ;]

Oh I’ll be real my little brother and I dipped after the album performance was over lol notrealfans but yeah I’d say top 10 performance in my concertgoing life, I had a fucking blast

Just got back from the Philly show
The rumors are true: they absolutely crushed it. I also had no idea the B sides were that good too. Also, the mosh just kept getting bigger and bigger.
Makes me love the album even more.

Also I don’t know if they have been playing it all tour but they played firebreather as part for the encore. Wasn’t expecting it and was a welcome surprise!

I couldn't go to the show I had tickets too. Very disappointing, especially when I saw they played words in the water as the final encore. One of my favorite thrice songs

Thrice had a bit of a weird setlist when I saw them in 2017. They played a song from each of the Alchemy Indexes and added Red Telephone

Missed the mwY/Thrice show in Norfolk because the Dept of Education straight robbed my entire tax refund and I'm going to die mad about it

Life advice, never make financial/life decisions depending on your tax return. Not only will you not miss anything if you don't assume what you'll get, but you'll have all this extra cash to play with if you do get a decent return

Fair tbh, I should have gotten tickets sooner, but I'm still bitter as fuck lol

Another thought, I had a minute to talk to a couple of the guys after the show, and being the production nerd that I am I asked about the transition from recording with Steve Osborne to Teppei recording things in house. They were upbeat about it, but I guess it was mainly a budgetary decision. not having followed the post hardcore scene at all in the early 2000s, I never realized the extent to which this album destroyed Thrice’s commercial appeal. I would have thought ballads like Atlantic and red sky would have made them money rather than lost it but I guess what do I know

Was at their Columbia show. My god, these guys are so freaking polished live. It was amazing. Played the whole album, then 3 b-sides, then Firebreather as an encore as well as two others. So clean. Favorite song of the night was Of Dust of Nations for sure. Was an incredible experience.

Legit left before Thrice even played. Fuck it.
