Hell Songs is the only one of their albums I want to relisten to anymore.

My rating for this might drop if I actually listened again.

Surprised no one in this thread rocks with the s/t, pretty killer mixture of this and their older work

S/T is their best and it’s not particularly close

Hell Songs is pretty cool tho

s/t is good, but this is probably my favorite noise rock album ever.

I still fuck with the self-titled in theory, but I prefer Hell Songs. The self-titled album just isn’t as energetic on multiple listens. Hell Songs sounds like nothing else.

I love all their shit, aside from Canada Songs I guess. That just feels like a proof of concept for Hell Songs tho tbh. The songwriting definitely got better but the vocal switch up was the best thing this band did in between those records imo.

I couldn’t imagine the s/t or this with those shrieked vocals.

It would be pretty damn great if the vocalist weren't a complete pile of steaming dogshit :-(

I also like Canada Songs, and their s/t EP, though I don’t think either did much to put them above what their contemporaries were doing at the time. Plague Soundcapes by The Locust, for example, was miles ahead of both records despite being released around the same time.

Hell Songs is when the band really came into their own original sound, and both proceeding records refined what made it so special imo.

rating of principle + i wasn't really that confident in my prior rating, i feel like i may have been trying not to get shat on, fuck alexis marshall, canada songs had a few jams tho

other than that, i struggle listening to a lot of albums with mixes this busy these days (this shit is bricked out to fuck), this would probably be a 2 now if not for alexis

butt.

yeah almost as if around that time (2014-2018) I was getting harassed enough, kicked out of groups, made into ridiculous memes by obsessive stalkers, etc. for what I liked, didn't need to compound that with also disliking what everyone else loved, i literally just wanted to be left alone
