One of the biggest mistakes of my life was commenting on here and making it permanently a part of My Discussions. And they deleted those purposefully comment saturating lists, because they annoyed people. Smh.

It's Sputnik's own eternal purgatory. And Sowing is our local Sisyphus.

If you listened to 2 new albums a day that would take you 22 years.

Sandwich confirmed ancient.

Sowing didn't use religion to justify Jesse's actions, he used them to justify his own. Which makes more sense and is far less damnable.

Sowing's comment earlier mirrors mine on this whole mess. To be honest as much as I'd like to separate artist and art I can't help but feel a little awkward whenever I play this one. Funnily enough, I don't feel that way when I play TDaG (which I did just a few days ago) but that may be because I don't associate it with what happened like I do this one. I'm not going to bump my rating down, of course, but I spin this far less now.

On the other hand is anyone really surprised about this? Listening through TDaG again it's clear something was up with his past. No one writes lyrics filled with that much remorse and doubt if you never did anything seriously wrong. Same with this record. It's much too big of a leap to suggest he doesn't regret what he did. Like someone else in this thread said if he's willing to pay the recompense, face the consequences, and make up for what he's done I don't think we can expect anything more. And maybe he did apologize to the victims personally? I don't think explicit details need to be written down in a facebook post. I was satisfied with the apology myself but that doesn't mean he should be set free or not face repercussion. The law doesn't work like that. He needs to make the effort to change and face whatever consequences await him. If he does that then I don't see a need to bring this up anymore.

what? thats a super common theme in music. and self loathing is a common symptom of depression. i dont follow your logic.
