cant get over how watered down this sounds compared to the rest of their discog. very glad theyre playing obscura and considered dead on the tour. bumping down to 4 b/c it's still a very fun listen

it's still badass and adventurous and all that i just think it's noticeably weaker than everything that came before it. hard to put my finger on exactly what it is, there's just something that really sticks with me about everything else and this one just sort of slides off my ears after i listen to it (even during, for some of it!)
sort of always felt this way (got into guts through ford and the rest of you fine lads just under two years ago i think) and now that i've returned to their music after a little bit of a guts break, i feel even more secure in this opinion

i think i can see that cuz i remember feeling the same way for a long time. didn't rly grow into a 5 until like five or six yrs ago and i think it was the lack of meat n potatoes dm riffage found on their earlier releases. sorta why pleiades dust never fully hit for me. but i hope you grow to like this even more!!
