I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but yeah, when people rip into your opinion or call the album you have so many fond memories attached to a "pile of shit", don't rise to it, just accept they don't like it, getting upset at them is what they want and everyone joins in until a moderator shuts it down. I have Three Days Grace's latest album at a 4.5, I get a fair amount of criticism, but I don't care, there are staff here with generally hated albums at a 5

If you’re so worried about what people will think, release it on some blogs or something and don’t post it on here. You’re gonna spend all your time thinking “w-what if people don’t like it” instead of making music and then what are you even trying to make music for? Just go for it.

@Sweeney: That's kind of been a struggle for me, but one that I feel like I'm beginning to acknowledge.
@botb: idk, it'd kinda bum me out if I spent over a year composing something and then I don't even get the 1.9 of my counterparts. I know it's petty, and not everyone will like it, but there's that insecurity in my mind that just won't go away.
@Lark: Well I don't refuse to listen anymore, I just refuse to stream them now. But yeah I can shut up about it.
