I'm still perplexed by this one. The entire 'middle-section' (the majority of the album) is weak compared to their previous efforts. A series of poor imitations they'd long since surpassed. I get why people call this more accessible (which I don't necessarily mind), but the would-be hooks fail to really hit home.
I can't see any reason for listening to this over their previous 3 albums. Option Paralysis had the balance spot-on and MM/IW are both infinitely more entertaining, even in their less than perfect moments.

Despite the comparatively strong start here, I was looking at this and it really puts the opening pair into perspective. With the exception of Dissociation every other pairing wins and the majority aren't even close (Ire Works is fairly even to be fair, the appeal in that album doesn't lie in the heavier mathcore stuff for me personally). And yeah that's the strongest part of this album, so...
