oh, thought you had waaaaaay more tbh 🤔
Unwound are a great band and a staple of post-hxc that stretches the boundaries of what that fairly useless descriptor really means. Pretty unique in that general sphere of music I reckon. Rewarding discog

I still can't believe this band was never on my radar til last year. One of the best to do it

i'm really trying to 'get' it rn

This was a really slow grower for me, but their earlier discog is full of straight rippers. Have both cakes and eat em

yeah this seems like one of those albums i need to commit time to, def not super immediate. i'm already noticing some rewards from repeat playing of a few of these tracks. october all over and terminus both got a 'meh' from me at first but i like them more and more each time i play them, especially october all over, i think that may be the best track i've heard from them so far. look a ghost has had the complete opposite effect on me; easy album highlight at first but now seems like one of the weaker tracks

Terminus might be a top 10 riff of all time

I will say though that Repetition is their actual best album

It's between this and New Plastic Ideas for me. Classic ass band though, glad I got to see them in Atlanta.

I am also a Plastichead. Seeing them play it in full last year sealed the deal

This is one of those albums that I enjoyed in bits and pieces until one day while delivering for Amazon in the mountains I listened to it in full while there was fresh snow everywhere and it captured my soul

Listening to the vocals in those two tracks now. I get what you mean, there's a lazy sounding detachment to them, but I think it's very purposeful. And they're not off key or anything.
