The more I get into the older metalcore bands, the more Converge becomes one of the lesser ones.

they really need a few subgenres for metalcore. There is no way bands such as Converge, Atreyu and August Burns Red are similar enough except that they utilize breakdowns and play guitar, bass and drums.

There are metalcore "subgenres". the bands like ABR are melodic metalcore with heavy melodeath

influence, bands like Converge lean more to the hardcore side of metalcore. But on this site there

isnt really a need for any extra genres.
