Crazy but the only QORSA I’ve heard is Songs for the Deaf. Gonna tackle the rest of their discog later, but I ordered this CD and went out driving at night blasting it in my car.

Holy shit this album is good.

Just finished The National discog and just started Frightened Rabbit’s. Think I’ll dig into these guys next. Then Dillinger Escape Plan and The Dear Hunter.

Hell yeah man, listened to a few tracks on Spotify and that shit is fucking intense man — and in the best way. I was really sitting there in awe with a grin on my face.

Aside from that and seeing them open for Deftones 3-4 years ago, I’ve had no other exposure to them.

They were innovators man.

Going chronologically is recommended but if you're struggling I'd recommend starting with Option Paralysis.

Bridges the gap perfectly between accessible and insanity.

Yeah man, I always go chronologically. Best way to do it. Hearing the evolution.

'don't skip the ep they did with mike patton either'

Yeah it's killer, apart from that obnoxious Aphex cover.

'both QotSA and Dillinger are special bands imo. enjoy their discogs Larkin.'

Both are amazing at their best, yet they also have albums I don't really like all that much. I still imagine that they combine for a very hefty number of total plays over the years, when you're still listening to the same artists 12-17 years later, you know they're important.

They cover the whole range, I very much like Calculating, Ire Works & Option Paralysis, followed by Miss Machine and the first two EPs (but less so), then I find Disassociation a mixed bag with OOUITK being the black sheep.

I think the coda of I Appear Missing has gotta be one of the best musical representations of a sunrise I've ever heard
