Why does the presence of a single 30 second joke track bother so many people? Dang. I like that bands have senses of humour. Even a band that makes music as dark as AiC. ESPECIALLY a band that makes music as dark as AiC.

The little riff is pretty eerie too. If I didn’t already know any better I would’ve just thought it was a weird interlude and not a joke track

The story behind the riff is that Jerry Cantrell would play it repeatedly at practices and rehersals, so often that the band finally snapped and said "here's a deal: we'll let you put that riff on the album, and in return, you can never play that riff again."
Not sure how Tom Araya got involved.
