Damn near a decade since I first heard this album and it still knocks me on my ass every time. Just listened on a drive home and was astounded at how compelling the songwriting on this album is while still being insanely brutal and heavy. Prob my all time favorite dm album

The drumming in general is fucking crazy on here. Sounds like the drummer is putting extra kicks into the blast beats, like at the beginning of higher coward. Idk how it’s possible to play the kick that fast lol but it sounds so sick

yeah alex hernandez is a fucking monster on this, guy was doing jamie saint merat things 10 years before ulcerate really hit their stride
