shocked you think let down is awful. motion picture soundtrack is so beautiful. thom's voice can be a little grating, but everything else is perfect, and the vocal harmony at the end is especially powerful. and yeah in limbo is fucking crazy. it has one of their coolest outros ever

reckoner and idioteque could be on my top 5 too. fake plastic trees is superb but i'd pick street spirit from bends.
i need to go back to hail to the thief and amnesiac soon. i'm not super familiar with either of those albums. the only song that comes to mind from amnesiac is pulk pull revolving door, which is (strangely enough) prob in my top 20 radiohead songs

My top 3 is long established now, can't see it changing:
1. Let down
2. How to disappear completely
3. Paranoid android (song that defines their entire career)
I find it hard to rate the rest, a lot of equally great songs

@gyro i mean i still have kid a 4.5'd and would have it 5'd if i didnt only 5 one album per artist, its a perf album, so when i say thats one of my least favourite that doesnt mean i dont like it keep that in mind
and i love in limbo but it also definitely isn't what i would pick off kid a for favourite tracks either
as for let down im shocked so many people love it so much, i dont like ok comp very much at all but if i were to pick a fav track off of it i wouldnt even consider let down

lol well looks like i'm not in the minority for putting let down in my top tracks. paranoid android is the song that got me into radiohead
|

ok computer actually made me not listen to radiohead for way longer than i should. i heard that album and was like lol yeah nah this shit aint for me and didnt listen to them again til in rainbows came out and i just gave it a go cuz it was free and that changed everything

for me, let down is the only song that doesn't really fit the mold of ok computer's sound. it's so atmospheric, almost post-rockish. i love how the vocals blend into the music
i didn't know you did the 1 album per artist thing. i mean, if you like it just as much then why can't they both be the same rating?
oh and in limbo has a very interesting sound to it i think. another one of their songs that sounds totally different from anything else they've ever done. to this day the last like 20-30 seconds blows my mind.

one album is always more perfect than the others even if just barely so i let that one shine in my vast catalog of 5's

lol yeah i was actually looking at some of your ratings earlier and was astonished by all the 5s. there must be like 200 in there! i actually had about 80 myself but just trimmed it down
|
| |
nah dont hate the bends or pablo honey, i dont hate ok comp either however i will admit that how overrated it is makes me kind of dislike it more than bends or pablo

I guess for people who consider Thom Yorke the primary reason they love Radiohead they'll rate Let Down as one of their favourite songs. It's his ultimate showcase.
Since Ok Computer Yorke's retreated from hogging the limelight as much pushing to cultivate more of a democracy

probably more like 400 lol i dunno, its a tonne but there is a tonne of classic music out there and also when u consider how many ratings i have in total the ratio is actually not that off at all, i have nearly 4000 so even at my over-estimation of 400 5's that would only make 10% of my ratings
