Eh Deftones have always kinda done the bare minimum when it comes to that kinda fan-servicey stuff... Black Stallion says it all. Think they see releasing Eros (especially at this point) as whoring out Chi's legacy somehow.



If they ever do release it I think it'll be in kinda the same way Glassjaw released Coloring Book, or just have a free download link on their website.

Yes, they also said it was around 70% complete so they'd have to actually complete it with Sergio and with either Terry Dates (which would make the most sense) or with a different producer. Either way it's not like they are just sitting on a finished ready to be released record. It would take time and resources to finish something that's obviously an emotional burden to them.



But I also agree that they should do it. They can always get the royalties from it to Chi's family which is going to be a great gesture as well.

I agree with releasing it. Considering Chi’s last released recordings are from the band’s darkest and most negative time, it’d be very cool of them to put out his last stuff when they were turning the band back around and becoming friends again. I know we got one song in Smile, but whatever else they have should come out too

Pretty sure Abe said at some point he is open to release it as an EP with the songs that are already done.

To further my point about Diamond Eyes: I love it a lot and it has some of my favorite Deftones tracks, but this is a more dynamic, diverse and overall superior record.
