Ha! I'm not drunk though. I just read the POTUS' tweets from this morning so I might have just lost brain cells.

I like CCT, but it can’t hold a candle to the other songs here.

You know what I want to see?
A war between this community and the tool subreddit. That is going to be a hell of a party.
|
| |
And I'm going to buy some popcorn to see how you kill each other about the relevance of this album.
|
| |
And then of course you are going to get banned, and I will be probably laughing the whole weekend.

A new 4.0 was born. This deserves it in the end.
Sorry Demon and Pika.
Hope you enjoy DDD and Larkin!

Nothing wrong in bringing the ego down and let the flow go. Its a great album. I was happy with the 3.5 already. The rest is up to each one of us.

I'm happy with a 4.0 for this. Love its flow.

I think I will re-listen to this once my current trip-hop phase ends and I checked the other Tool records

'Remember what you said about being friends tect? This confirms it.'
Loving your scores for 'Kid A', 'Vespertine', 'Low', and 'Station to Station', too. (I also just listened to 'Crack the Skye' for the first time today and loved it.)
Back to CCT, though. Not trying to be a knobber, it is - with 100% seriousness - the only track I stumbled upon that was varied and atmospheric enough to justify its length (which is comparatively short to begin with, which helps). I remember peeking at my phone to see what the track title was since it was the first time I thought to myself "Oh, wow, I actually kind of like this." Had no idea it would end up being an instrumental track.
Maybe Tool should convert into post-rock?

So you're saying I have to be inebriated out of my skull to appreciate Tool then?
