I just wish for once in my life i was so mediocre on my work (as metallica were when they were recording these albums), and still be so successful. Make some gold out of a turd. But i know that will never happen. We live in an unjust world.

I recently discovered that the trick is to achieve just enough not to get fired at your work. Being an overachiever will only lead you to become someone people think they can take advantage of.

Maybe Metallica thought of this long before I did.

Good thinking. It all depends on whether you're a decent provider. If someone else can do that work for you for less money, you're in deep trouble. That also means that you've got to be able to provide a good service where the demand is greater.

That's why public relations are important. And probably that's why Lars played a big role in shaping metallica to the powerhouse they're today.

The tom fills in that song into the breakneck riff is my favorite thing ever.
