The new song sounds fantastic. Definitely seems like a return to this album's/CBA'S sound, I love hearing the return of screams, and the new drummer has some serious chops.

The new album feels like A LOT of conscious decision making, lacking the bursts of intuition that made their prior work what it is...although it's lacking in "WOW" moments due to this, Ascension Codes as a whole experience is quite satisfying in a way I don't think a Cynic project has captured before.
