there are some very VERY good songs on here (this is how i dissapear, house of wolves) then there are some boring as hell songson here(cancer, sleep) this album is very close to being a 3.5 but i cant bring mehself to givit tha

This is a disgrace to rock music.They want to be a scene version of Queen (lol,'Scene Queens') so badly it hurts.Thank god it was my sister who bought this and not me.Yes I listen to my sister's CDs...she does have some good Cds though,like Hendrix and Depeche Mode
Am I too late to call this guy a moron?
Between this and his sound-off, I think it's getting to the point where his mom needs to call the recording industry and ask them to stop upsetting him by producing music he doesn't like.
And by the way kid, this band isn't emo. I know what emo is and you don't, so don't even try to challenge me on this one. You will lose.

Pfft,I know what I like and I know what I don't.You like MCR and don't think are emo,that's fine.And I'm seventeen,I'm definitely not a moron,and my mom isn't around to call up producers and complain for me.I'm sorry for any offense caused but I don't like the band.I actually think their older albums are okay,but this is just a complete work of showmanship,as I have said.And how did you get the impression that I'm a little whiny kid from my Sound-off?I think its well argued,well its not "oh,MCR are a whiny emo scene band and only 'cuz of that I think they are shit lololol rofl",and at least I didn't just give it a 1 to be an MCR hating troll-I DID listen to this album and I DID NOT like it.Of course it would be great if the music industry would stop churning out stuff I don't like,but that's obviously not likely and nor do I expect any of that.I apologize for any offense I caused but I was just doing what I thought this site was about-voicing my opinion.This Message Edited On 10.21.08

Asinine thing to say. Genres are an empirical cataloging system as opposed to opinions, and calling MCR emo is about as ignorant as calling Metallica reggae.

The black Parade is possibly one of the most overrated albums of all time for one simple fact:it's all been done before.
Edguy wear their influences on their sleeves as well, but they still fucking rule. And being transparently influenced by Queen is not criteria for being overrated.
Of course the fans will like it,

but that does not excuse the fact that they are overrated to the extreme.
They're popular with pop fans, and hated by everyone who thinks listening to metal/indie rock/(insert other pretentious genre here) makes them better than other people. It kind of evens out.
