"the personal is political tbh"

It's a nice alliterative slogan that had a lot of relevance and truth to it when it originated in the feminist movement of the 70s, but it's not some universal truth that applies in every individual instance. In the case of artistic expression, the personal only becomes political when someone makes the move from what they want/do to what others SHOULD want/do, or, even more extreme, to what governments should legislate about what others can do. There's none of that happening on this album.

ya I agree with whoever said literally everything is political and the only time you see someone bitching about it in art is when that art runs counter to what they believe.

And it’s usually pretty one sided because reactionaries have steaming piles of dogshit where their brains should be, so they don’t typically make great art.

I farted this morning. Definitely a political statement. What were you saying about certain people having steaming piles of dogshit for brains?

I don’t remember saying that but yeah that sounds like me, it was probably about reactionaries in general and if you’re in that group… well I hope I don’t have to spell it out that much for ya little buddy

At least with people who say "everything is physics" or "everything is psychology" I get it, because there's some fundamental truth there. But politics? That's among the dumbest things I've ever heard before. If you seriously "thought all this shit through" and landed on that, that doesn't speak well of your thought processes.
