Again. There are 40+ sections of the discord that are heavily active where no one is talking shit and there are convos and interests that branch out beyond music. You heavily read like you are trying to be above the points im making but when you are just refusing to stop being a conspiracy theorist because other people hang out that is what is weird.

Hey storm, I'm sorry if I'm making out there's no positive convos on the discord - I enjoyed the music parties and lots of the threads were pretty harmless and fun. But I did feel like it was very hard to voice a differing opinion on there, you had to walk a fine line. And I believe it did amplify grudges and kept them festering. I know it's just an internet community but looking back I feel like I messed up my admittedly casual friendship with sona because I let the prevailing mood influence me. Probably the same with johnny when I took the other side. I also shouldn't have brought outside stuff into an argument, it wasn't classy of me, but I got really angry at the way a certain person was being badmouthed for making one bad decision. And yeah, I think the mentality on that discord sometimes led to bullying. There are people on the site who are abrasive and have made bad mistakes and haven't acted all that well, but sometimes the way people gang up on them... it just makes me uncomfortable. I know this is just a music site and part of it is my attachment to it because I don't have a lot of friendship in my normal life, I admit it regardless of how lame that sounds, but it really affected my mood and was a downer.

Sorry to hear that fog. You're a good egg, so don't beat yourself up about it too much.
It seems I miss a lot of the drama that goes on over there. I pretty much only visit to rant about site functionality or (occasionally) a copypasta moment these days. And if I'm there for any other reason, it's likely because I'm having a bad day and it only tends to magnify my already negative thoughts (which in turn makes it more tempting to lash out, rather than appeasing them - so I agree with you on the unhelpful vibe aspect).
