imma be honest I quit paying attention to lyrics for all but my favorite bands and it has made a lot of music a lot better to me.

From what I’ve read and what I remember, yes Oli has always been a fucking idiot and wrote bad lyrics

Yeah lyrics are something I can easily ignore if you make it less decipherable but if you are clean singing and you’re front and center in the mix I am not gonna just disregard if it’s absolute shit

Go listen to There is a Hell, and Sempiternal, then return to this...

The drop in quality is mind blowing.

You can barely liken those albums to this, there’s a core DNA but they don’t resemble much. Quality wise I’d say there’s a lot of effort put into this album, it’s just not cohesive and is full of ideas that ara just not working. The aforementioned albums are much better in my opinion, but I don’t think they’ve dropped off - just got overly ambitious with this one I guess, they probably could still write good metalcore - look at the previous EP.

Guys, I got attacked by a couple BMTH fans online last night and one had the gall to say that Oli is one of the best lyricists ever and that his writing really understands people's struggles. Oh and that we non-Brits can't understand his tongue in cheek lyrics and style of writing because we don't know their culture.

Wish I was making that up. This was all over me saying that n/A has the worst lyrics on the album by a lot. Guess I can't understand the voices in Oli's head or maybe I'm not dark and haunted enough to get intimate with a chainsaw.

"THE VOICES IN MY HEAD KEEP TELLING ME.."

When you (likely accidentally) have the same lyric in your song as Ronnie Radke, you can't possibly rank as 'the best lyricist ever'

Do you think you're bulletproof?

I'm already bored of this album. Whole thing is severely lacking substance.

Might end up in the same spot after a few more listens but I can't think of many other bands that deliver their sugar rush. I'm currently enjoying the Meteora breakdown near the end of Amen.

Saw a Twitter post comparing this to FACT’s self-titled. I was disappointed.
