First spin of this band, pretty bangin'

Self entitled based on what standard? I didn't realize I had to earn courtesy. Pull your head out of your ass.
If you're actually too moronic to make an objective analysis of the production, that's perfectly fine. I would be amazed if your musical knowledge extended beyond a few lousy progressions and stagnant underground bands that highlight the age of your failing youth.
(edit) Hail to the thief gets a 5, please tell me more about how Radiohead are OBVIOUSLY amazing musicians.

Shut up fag

Sorry, did I offend your boyfriend?
Grow up, being defensive is one thing, but being the one arrogant enough to meet a genuine, harmless request with offense is altogether childish. I don't give a fuck about your schoolyard cliques, if you wanna behave like you're all in highschool (musical tastes support this) be my guest, but keep it to yourselves.

How about the extensive uses of polymeters, polyrhythms, high levels of syncopation, and just about every musical mode? You don't even understand what you're on about. All you're doing is making an ass out of yourself.
The difference in production isn't huge (and this is coming from a learning engineer listening on proper monitoring systems in a treated room... just in case you felt like calling me out for not being "objective") but it has convectuoso which makes it worth it if you like the song. The mix is just a little different. Get whichever one you prefer.

Thank you, I completely understand, and I do like Radiohead, I just don't think any of that merits a 5. They rely on it too much, not to the point where it's distracting, but not always to an effective end. And to be honest, they aren't techniques that are rarely visited, and IMHO garner them more credit than they deserve. I wont deny their ability to craft a cohesive album with atmosphere and consistency though.
(edit) Don't be presumptuous

Hey guys why don't we just enjoy the album

If you read all the way back to my first comment, I never wanted to stir the pot. That isn't to say that I'm just going to bend over and take unwarranted rude remarks. Nothing could spoil Glassjaw, however.
Why can't everyone calm down and just have a civil discussion, we all clearly have common ground, why does a dick waving contest have to erupt at every turn on this website? I'm not exempt from that remark, before I catch any flak.
(edit) I'm actually listening to the Cat Empire

I know, I'm having vicious flashbacks of being taught manners, respect, and trying to come to agreement with my common man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpW1O8iOTqE MUST RESIST
Seriously though, wouldn't everyone be way more stoked if we all lived in harmony. Sing a rainbow with me

the collective last four tracks is probably the most passionate close to an album ever, for real. i
can only imagine how draining it must've been for palumbo to perform.

If they're still touring try and see As cities burn perform son, I loved you at your darkest.
Whether or not theyre your thing the performance is amazing, and the emotion is undeniable.
To anyone who knows the story of the album, one show a long time back was apparently met with the father showing up to see the son for the first time in years. I can't imagine anything being more worth of the title once in a lifetime.
