I’d say Redeemer and Anti-Mother have the most in common aesthetically but yea you’re not wrong lol

I will not stand for all this random sudden early disco NJ hate. Wrongdoers and Meridional are both monumental albums of the metalcore genre. Tbh I've only heard antimother before those and it's okay I guess.

Anti-Mother is definitively their worst but everything else they've done has been of pretty consistent quality their whole career. Redeemer and Wrongdoers are my favorites though.

This seems at the very least more interesting than All Hail

Anti-Mother is in my top 4, I would say All Hail or this one are the worst

All Hail or this are the worst [2]
Meridional, Polar, and Wrongdoers are my favorites for sure. I don't hear any Polar in this.

“Their old lyrics to me was always just complrete nonsense. I find it hard to believe anyone knows wtf he was blabbering on about 90% of the time.”
That was better actually
I’ll take some more abstract lyrics over whatever he’s doing now

Given the high average and amount of pop this album had on here I was excited to check this out.
Norma Jean really never was my thing anyways.

A couple spins on this and I'm still not quite getting the hype. I appreciate the new level of experimentation and there are some killer moments, for sure. But the 3 albums prior are just head and shoulders above this IMO

I certainly appreciate the fact they're not giving us All Hail 2.0 after its success. Unfortunately, the end result is that I enjoy this album a little less because not all of the experimentation really jives with me. Still a really good record and definitely not a miss, but not up to par to its basically perfect (for me) predecessor.

But this is certainly a grower and not an immediate love at first sight like All Hail.
