Fed to the lights is the best song on here. Song also gives me hella Norma Jean vibes
And ultimately, all candy is one of my faves.
I think empty black is noticeably better though.

i had no idea this came out, will check soon
the absolute worst is when a band drops the closer beforehand without even announcing the tracklist yet so you dont even realize it until its aleady too late [2]
this is the BIGGEST sin in the world of releasing music

I feel like most of us are past the “how does is compare to EB” phase and were now in the “idc this fucking rules” phase

Why choose when we have both

that's why I instantly gave this a 5/5. it's supplemental to EB. neither sound too alike and that makes me so happy. I love them both a lot.

Seein love for the guitarist on the last page. Very nice. He is super great. It's kinda hard to believe it's just him sometimes. I wonder if they fill in the sound during studio cuts with a second guitar on occasion or if he's just making it all work by himself like he does live. Either way it sounds awesome
My first draw in was the vocals on Empty Black but hot damn did the guitar sneak in and start stealing the show on several occasions. These two are a force together

Both albums rule. While I do like Empty Black more, this is such a rad follow up

Glad to see people recognizing the guitarist's talent. Dude has riffs for days.

My respect for the guitarist skyrocketed when I saw them live 2 years ago, dude's a machine

The quality/technicality/scope of the guitar work on this one is such a huge improvement from EB. As a guitarist myself I think that’s a big reason I instantly dug just as much, if not more, than EB right away
His work on EB was great too, I’m not knocking that in any way, he just hit a home run with this album. Super excited to see how he progresses from now until their next album

This dude and the guitarist for Moon Tooth are the two up and comers in the metal scene right now. Both are really setting the standard for their genres, and the both have that natural “catchy” riff making skill that few have

I would not call the guitar work a huge improvement over EB, idk if I'd even say it's better at all lol it's pretty equal. Different stylings across both albums, different enough that it's hard for me to say which is "better"

I should clarify that this is far more technical than what he wrote for EB. “Better” is a bad word for me to use, I’ll rescind that and say I think this is more impressive. Obviously just my opinion

The quality is great on both, and I think the shift to more mathcore on this album is also a reason the variety seems a bit bigger to me than on EB
