nice video, I pressume it has to do with the eternal fight between good and bad, or ying and yang, or night and day. Nicest touch was the stratego references throughout

Jeez whoever mixed this record just doesn't like guitars I guess. The lead part in the verses of Stratego sounds like it's playing downstairs. The lead guitarwork in The Writing on the Wall's chorus too is barely audible and hidden in the left channel.

I'm digging the music more than expected though.

I don’t hear that at all haha the guitars are respectfully placed in the mix with everything else. If anything, Bruce feels like the one who’s buried in the mix

Stratego has different mixing compared to the other songs I think

Mixing is fine on this record, everything sounds like it's where it needs to be.

My wife just told me she wants to go on Maiden's next tour, that's never happened before hahah she's been constantly humming The Writing on the Wall and The Parchment. Looks like my next Maiden gig is going to be more of a family affair than a great time with the lads

@TheNoTrap I remember when my mum used to drive me to school and I'd always spin the Live After Death CD. The CD cover used to scare my mum and as soon as Aces High kicked in the first time she was like 'oh wow, he can actually sing?'

Lol.

I went to school listening to Live After Death a thousand times, mate. You are a privileged lad. We both are ;)

Indeed, I grew up with some great music tbh.

My mum introduced me to bands like The Smiths, The Cure & Stone Roses.

That's great. My dad also introduced me to hard rock very early. Believe it or not, at the age of three I was already headbanging to Purple's Machine Head.

While my friends' parents listened to pop music, folk and so on, my dad listened to hard and prog rock. I was lucky, I guess.

Same here, my dad used to have an insane vinyl collection, family matters got all those vinyl to go to one of my uncles who got broke and sold them for food, for obviously much less than he should have.

I'm talking about Beatles originals, lots of first pressing prog, etc.

My Live After Death fp was also in that pack he sold.

Fuck my uncle.
