haha, I miss the days when pre-ordering meant getting the album on the day of release and sometimes earlier

I can actually count the amount of times a pre order came right on time on one hand. Sucks living in Europe.

Last time was The Armed - Ultrapop I believe.. And I wasn't even home for that.

Beacons and cold blooded have been in constant rotation

as a reminder that you can't have good songs without average songs?

Beacons is a JAM... Cold Blooded is a low point.

Ye exactly. Rejammed Cold Blooded earlier and it's like halfway between a Daisy and a Morbid Stuff bside without the infectiousness of either album. A lot of this alb is lazy in the chorus dept, but that one suffers in particular
Beacons on the other hand is a bop

Lightning is the weakest chorus-wise and it's not even remotely close tbh. I can see cold blooded grating on people but I love the vocal delivery and chorus

I can't believe of the duds that exist on this album people are talking shit on beacons. Wild. Have you guys heard floor or lightning?

Yeah Beacons is great. Even the duds you mentioned don’t bother me anymore.

Not bothered by Pitchfork's 6.0 rating, but they should have let Ian Cohen post his review since he did Dealer and NMG on their website.

The fact that they ranked this only 0.1 better than Van Weezer and far below the new Billie Eilish tells me everything I need to know about the current state of p4k

New Billie Eilish slander notwithstanding (that album is great), I also am not bothered by the p4k review. The band doesn't care either! They said on a reddit ama last night that they hoped they got the "monkey peeing in its own mouth" review like Shine On.

"monkey peeing in its own mouth" review like Shine On.

lmao didn't The Mars Volta get that one as well

also yeah Ian Cohen is probably the only reviewer at p4k I really dig, just leave anything emo adjacent to the man
