Is a 1.0 an emotional rating? If so the emotion is probably 'lolbutts' unless it's an artist you're majorly emotionally invested in who's disappointed you to a cataclysmic degree

i wouldnt personaly call this a step back, obviously nfr is light years better but this doesnt try to be nfr, it just seems like something she wrote unpretentiously, for fun. i think it has its space on her discog. even lana herself said she feared how this would be recieved after how nfr was acclaimed
and one of the things i appreciate here is how this has a consistent sound much like nfr, since her 2 efforts before that were very much all over the place

What if you’ve rated her stuff average before and then this is worse? To me a likely scenario, happens all the time.
The Killers start out, debut not too bad slap a 3 on it...by album number 10 they’re played out, contractually obliged robots releasing any old rubbish - 1.0

I definitely wouldn’t be here without Stan the man. The gift that keeps on giving. Also the potential world-shattering ramifications of a hyper-relevant Sputnik had me dancing around my living room shedding tears of joy. So if that’s not worth showing up for, then I’d like to know what the hell is.

I know you do Doof, lol, but what I'm saying is most people don't. They're not going to listen to LDR record 6 if they didn't like record 2 - 4, and they thought the first record was forgettably ok. There's been a few people in this thread saying they gave it a 1 and haven't really listened to it, and that might be a wider trend.
