Hey i was listening to the album, and i really think the reordering thing works..
But which one: theres like 4 and they all make it sound better
Is this a really hard puzzle to crack or r Tool just foolin with ppl tryin to find deeper meaning when there isnt one

I think The Holy Gift order thing is just an oversight. However, it did give a nice different feel to the album. I don't think it was intentional though.

Hmm it just doesnt seem like they would just randomly put in different orders...and the Lateralus 'Spiral Out' lyrics kinda give something away. AH im just gonna enjoy it as it is until i get some more inspiration
Still a godly album whatever the order though

Oh dear. You'll get flamed for saying stuff like that.

....maybe....tool fans...are...?

Being a tool fan doesn't necessarily mean you appreciate music on another level to other people. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Tool is definitely transcendent to many music genres, but on another level just doesn't quite approximate the meaning, I mean, liking different music is not a crime.
That being said, this is a decent slab of music despite the occasional wankery that is symptomatic of the band.

listening to "Third eye" sometimes puts me into a meditative state.....so, maybe tool does do that...another level thing....try it out Jump.

I like Third Eye. It's one of my favourite long songs. I like the comedian thing at the beginning. I like the ending where Maynard repeats 'Prying open my third eye' over and over again. I like it all.
Doesn't mean I can appreciate music better than others.
Seriously, where are chan/elim/steerpike/iluvatar who trash users for saying ignorant stuff like this?

They don't appreciate music better because they don't listen to tool and aren't interested in this album, obviously. :p

Schism is the only song in the album which has the letter Q in it's lyrics.
It appears once throughout the hole album. Just thought I should share...

I think Tool is a band with very talented musicians, but i don't really listen to them all that much. Maynard James Keenan is a master lyricist, however.

I think personally as a huge Tool fan this is their best album, and can agree to it being album of the millenium. They are such a great band, and this was a great review.
